IMPORTANT – PUBLIC MEETING INVITE
Earlier this year the Council ran a public meeting about proposed developments in Hoveton. We now have further updates and are encouraging the public to join us for another public meeting. This meeting will be at 7pm on Wednesday 13 November at Hoveton Village Hall.As you may have seen, North Norfolk District Council has been told by the Inspector that their Local Plan is ‘unsound’. One reason for this is that more housing is needed to satisfy national policy and it is therefore necessary to increase housing allocations to account for the shortfall. Hoveton has been slated for more housing with another site on Stalham Road being planned for 50 homes. This is in addition to the enlarged site between Brook Park and Tunstead Road. Please do share this with friends and neighbours. Timescales imposed (not ours) don’t give us any chance to get a door drop done or include the meeting invite in The New Bridge. Many thanks,Hoveton Community Council -
Notice of public rights
The Council’s annual audit process is underway. This notice is the official invitation for the public to look at our accounts for 2023/24. That said, we are happy to discuss the finances with our parishioners at any time.
If this interests you, would you consider getting more involved and being a Councillor? We have vacancies and are looking for more people to get involved.
