  • Littlewood Lane Closure Delayed

Hoveton Parish Council has been informed that new foul water and electricity connections works which were due to begin today (Saturday 6th October) on Littlewood Lane have now been deferred. A revised start date of 17th October 2018 has been given for the works. Your Parish Council will keep you updated on further news about this road closure as it arrives.

  • We Will Remember Them

Hoveton Parish Council is pleased to announce that Wroxham & Hoveton Lions Club has now formally agreed its proposal to purchase a WW1 commemorative ‘Tommy’ silhouette for our village. This is fantastic news and we’re sure you’ll join us in thanking the Lions Club for this very generous gesture.

The Lions Club has told HPC that this silhouette will act as a temporary memorial for each armistice period and will likely be sited in different locations around the parish each year to ensure it may be enjoyed by all members of the community. This year, at the request of the Lions Club, Hoveton’s Tommy will take pride of place on Granary Staithe, hopefully surrounded by some poppies in planters. The Lions Club hopes to have the silhouette in place by the end of this month, so keep your eyes peeled!
