• What’s On At Hoveton Village Hall (November)

    There are lots of fun groups and activities taking place at Hoveton Village Hall & Park in November, including Boogie Bounce, badminton, yoga, keep fit, bridge club, Sound Bath, Cinema Club and some exciting new activities such as Kids Fitness Zumba! Table top sales will take place on Sunday 10th November and Sunday 24th November (just £5 a table; call 07926 314147 to book) and a Christmas Fayre is being held on Saturday 30th November in order to raise funds for improvements to the Hall and Park (entrance is free). Plus, don’t forget to visit the monthly Hoveton Farmers and Producers Market!

It’s a fantastic venue with a full bar available by arrangement and extensive free parking, all right on your doorstep!     Hoveton Parish Council noted the following local planning application at its meeting of Monday 4th November 2019:

    Proposal: Use of playing field for car boot sales 8.00am – 1.00pm on Mondays to Fridays and 8.00am – 1.00pm on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

    The Parish Council noted that despite the wording of this application, the intention is for car boot sales to be held only on Friday and Sunday mornings. The Hoveton Village Hall Management Committee has been asked to write to Hoveton Parish Council to formally confirm these intentions.

    Hoveton Parish Council has been invited to comment on the following local planning applications:

    Proposal: To provide a vehicle track to the South West of the site for UKPN to gain access to the substation. This includes felling of certain trees. The access track will be constructed using a ‘no dig’ solution, please see submitted documents for more information.

  • Persimmon Homes Update

    Hoveton Parish Council was recently contacted by Persimmon Homes, who told us they are preparing a planning application for Phase II of the Brook Park development. We took the opportunity to remind them that Phase I remains uncompleted and unadopted, with significant issues outstanding. They plan to attend either our December or January meeting to explain their plans. Please share your thoughts with us about this matter or come along to the meeting (we’ll confirm the date once it has been formally agreed).
