  • Road Closure (Church Road, Hoveton)

    We have just received notice from Norfolk County Council that, owing to a burst water main, the use by vehicles of Church Road from a point 170m south-west of its junction with Horning Road for a distance of 35m south-west will be temporarily prohibited from 30th May 2019 to 5th June 2019 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 7 days within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 21 days.

    Alternative route is via Church Road, A1062 Horning Road, A1151 Stalham Road/Norwich Road, Church Road.

  • Draft Local Plan – What Are Your Views?

    During North Norfolk District Council’s recent Draft Local Plan consultation drop-in event, members of Hoveton Parish Council spoke to a number of residents. Anecdotal feedback suggested that some residents would prefer the housing allocation for Hoveton (of 150 homes) to be divided into small developments, like those planned for Tilia Park or Church Field, rather than in one big development like Brook Park. What do you think? There’s still time to let us have your views before we respond to the current consultation (Hoveton Parish Council’s response will be agreed at its meeting of Monday 3rd June).
