  • Help Shape The Future Of Hoveton

    Hoveton Parish Council is keen to consult with local residents in order to gather views on the positive and negative aspects of life in Hoveton, and to determine how and where changes can be made to improve quality of life for all. In the near future, your Council will be updating its five-year Parish Plan, which outlines the Council’s vision and key priorities for Hoveton.

    However, the Parish Plan is also designed to reflect the thoughts, feelings and ideas of local residents. Therefore, your help is needed if the Parish Plan is to be a true reflection of life in Hoveton; past, present and future. What would you like to see included in the new Parish Plan? What do you think your Parish Council’s priorities should be in the future? What is your vision for Hoveton?   • Community Christmas Tree

    Last winter, Granary Staithe looked particularly festive thanks to the introduction of the village’s first community Christmas tree. This year, your Parish Council is hoping to repeat its Christmas tree project and once again add some extra sparkle to Hoveton’s Christmas. Local residents and businesses are encouraged to support this project (a big thank you to The Wroxham and Stobart & Hurrell, who are already supporting this project), so please contact Cllr Alex Howe (ahowe@hoveton-pc.org.uk or 01603 783 096) if you can help in any way.

  • Update From Bure Valley Railway

    While reports earlier this year suggested Broadland District Council was planning to either repair, replace, or remove the footbridge leading across the main road from Hoveton and Wroxham railway station to the Bure Valley Railway, Hoveton Parish Council is pleased to report that the Bure Valley Railway has confirmed this bridge won’t be removed, though maintenance work will be carried out to address the bridge’s corrosion problems. And in further good news, Bure Valley Railway has advised the Parish Council that it is due to take over maintenance responsibilities for the Bure Valley footpath alongside the railway.

  • Temporary Closure of Littlewood Lane

    Regular readers of this blog will be aware that new foul water and electricity connections works which were due to begin on Saturday 6th October on Littlewood Lane were deferred to a later date. A revised start date of Thursday 22nd November has now been given for these works, with the works due to continue until Thursday 6th December. During this period, Littlewood Lane, Hoveton, will be temporarily closed to traffic (except for access).

    Hoveton Parish Council has been invited to comment on the following local planning applications:
