Household Hazardous Waste Days
Norfolk County Council’s next household hazardous waste days were recently announced, with seven events planned across Norfolk in September and October. Waste is classed as hazardous if it can cause harm to humans or the environment (this includes any waste that needs specialist disposal). Norfolk County Council doesn’t normally take these items at its recycling centres, but certain hazardous waste items will be accepted at the upcoming free household hazardous waste days, including paint, household chemicals and cleansers, and garden pesticides and fertilizers.
Hoveton’s nearest participating recycling centre is Mayton Wood Recycling Centre (Little Hautbois, Nr Coltishall, NR12 7JX) and Mayton Wood’s household hazardous waste days will take place on 20th, 21st, and 22nd September between 9am and 5pm. Further details can be found on Norfolk County Council’s website.
