• Coronavirus Contingency & Action Plan

The following plan sets out the contingency measures Hoveton Parish Council will bring into effect as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic. The plan aims to ensure the Council will be able to operate its business to the best of its abilities throughout this public health emergency while protecting, as far as is reasonably possible, its members, employees, and volunteers:

HPC Coronavirus Contingency & Action Plan

This plan has been prepared with reference to the latest advice issued by the UK Government, the Society of Local Council Clerks and the National Association of Local Councils, and with reference to the Parish Council’s Standing Orders and Financial Regulations, and it is in keeping with the measures being taken by other parish councils across the country. The plan will be continuously reviewed and updated to take account of the changing status of the pandemic.

  • Operation Good Neighbour (Coronavirus Support)

Operation Good Neighbour Hoveton and Wroxham, the local Coronavirus community assistance scheme, is now up and running. The scheme will coordinate volunteers and arrange for the delivery of food and medicine to local residents who have no other means of support such as non-isolating family or friends or other support groups. The scheme can be contacted via its website or Facebook page.

Operation Good Neighbour has been set up and will be run by the Wroxham and Hoveton Good Neighbours Scheme (part of Community Action Norfolk). The scheme is supported by the local Church, local Councillors for Wroxham and Hoveton, and the Parish Councils of Hoveton and Wroxham.

  • Coronavirus Community Assistance

Hoveton Parish Council is currently working with other local groups and organisations such as Wroxham Parish Council, The Wroxham Benefice, Wroxham & Hoveton Good Neighbour Scheme and Hoveton & Wroxham Medical Centre to provide a co-ordinated local community response to the Coronavirus pandemic. It is hoped a system will be set up to help with food and medicine deliveries and to provide general support for those who are self-isolating in the local community. Further details will be shared on our website and Facebook page and on the parish noticeboards as soon as they are available.
