• The Bridge – some sad news

Hoveton Parish Council was very sad indeed to learn of the recent death of Val Ovenden, the editor of The Bridge.  Some councillors had known Val for many years, and Councillor Alex Howe had been on the rota of typists for the parishes newsletter, The Bridge, for a long while, until technology finally encouraged contributors to submit their entries via email.  Val was a dear, gentle lady, valued by the villages of Hoveton and Wroxham alike.  After the death of her husband, Reg, in August 2018, Val continued in the editorship of The Bridge and remained working for the community.  She will be very much missed. HPC send sincere condolences to her family.

In the absence of the latest edition, the Parish Council’s article is here.
